Create space for baby

Your baby is breach for a reason, we help you determine the root cause and address it. Our methods are safe and effective in supporting your body in allowing baby the space to move into an optimal birth position.

The Aster & Violet protocol

Columbiana Ohio Bodywork and Pelvic Floor Therapy for Breech Baby, Webster & Spinning Babies

Our 3 Step Progress

Step 1

Mapping: we perform an assessment of your ligaments, muscles, and mobility to determine if there is tension or restriction. We check baby’s position before treatment.

Step 2

Balance: we utilize a combo of ligament releases, bodywork, and mobility stretches to address what we have found. This is an hour long 1-on-1 session to address everything we have found.

Step 3

Remap: we reassess your ligaments and muscles and see if baby has made any progress. It is common to see changes in position within a session!

FAQs

Does Breech Bodywork ‘Turn’ the baby?

1

No, and that is important to note. Unlike External Cephalic Version (ECV) performed by an OBGYN, we do not manually force your baby to move. Instead we focus on the environment where your baby is. We release your pelvic floor, round ligaments, and diaphragm to maximize space.

When is the best time to start?

2

While you can come at anytime, our clients have seen the best results when we are working with them between 32-36 weeks. At this stage, baby still has enough fluid space to move easily but it may be tension that is keeping them in a breech or transverse position.

Is this the same as the WEbster Technique?

3

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic adjustment. While we are aiming at similar goals, our approach is different. We often do collaborate with our local chiropractors on your treatment if needed.

Are there exercises I should do at home?

4

Yes, you can expect us to give you a customized home movement program, which may include positions inspired by Spinning Babies, specific stretches for the pelvic outlet, and diaphragmatic breathing to maintain the space we created in your session.
